Drives in array

Post by empmew »

Hi,

I'm getting a 4 bay NAS from asustor in the mail in the next few days and was wondering if there was any way I could make use of my existing spare drive. I plan to populate the NAS with 2 4TB drives to start, with expansion in the long run. I also have a spare 2 TB drive that I got a while back. Is there any way I could have the 2 4TB drives in a RAID 1 array, while the 2TB drive existing in isolation for something else? (maybe a networked steam drive or something).

You can setup a MyArchive bay in NAS. You can then change the disk in this bay (similar to USB drive usage, it's an internal bay).
