Hi. For some reason, the only way to my NAS still awake, is continually pinging, if i don't ping the NAS, i can't access the OS, or a partition i have in my computer.
Sorry my bad English.

Re: Disconnecting after a few minutes
What's OS in your computer? And how do you access NAS? You should reveal the details about how you see the error.

Re: Disconnecting after a few minutes
Is it configured to go into sleep mode in "Settings -> Hardware -> Energy Control"?
I made it long as I lacked the time to make it short.

I'm using Windows 10, and I access the NAS via browser. If i'm ping the NAS, i can access normally, but without pinging it's like he's not online in the network.orion wrote:What's OS in your computer? And how do you access NAS? You should reveal the details about how you see the error.

Re: Disconnecting after a few minutes
Here are a few things I would try out to begin with:
- make sure there are no conflicting IP addresses on the network
- switch to a static IP address for the NAS if you are using DHCP to assign the IP
- replace the LAN cable from the NAS
- try using another LAN port on the NAS if possible (could be a faulty NIC)
I made it long as I lacked the time to make it short.

I tried your options, except the last one, because my NAS only has a single LAN port. And i think this is the problemndl101 wrote:Here are a few things I would try out to begin with:

Re: Disconnecting after a few minutes
Well, I hope it is not and I think other issues could cause the same behaviour. Let us not call it dead just yet. Do you have access to an USB ethernet adapter or similar you could test with? Also, could you please upload/attach the content of /var/log/messages from your NAS? With a little luck this log file might contain some errors indicating the cause. You can copy the log file from the NAS vis ssh/scp.suporte_CM wrote: I tried your options, except the last one, because my NAS only has a single LAN port. And i think this is the problem

You should try to map a network drive (NAS share).

Re: Disconnecting after a few minutes
Hi guys. I found the problem, one of my cowokers change the subnet mask of my computer without telling me. So, my computer was in a different subnet mask from the NAS. Thanks a lot
