Surveillance Center does not work

Hello,

I just installed my brandnew Asustor AS6104T. Sorry to say that despite of the strong ASUSTOR advertising a lot of features do not work ...
But however, maybe it is possible to get at least the Surveillance Center running !
I downloaded and installed it, and if I open it with a click, I can see that a Window is opened wich is completey black, than after about 1 second the window disappears.
That's it ... Any Idea what I can do or what the Problem could be ?

I then have deinstalled the Surveillance Center and downloaded/installed it twice, but the problem is the same.

Hello Store,

I have seem some features not working, but they usually get fixed after creating a ticket. Please try Surveillance Center in different browsers and both http and https. In my experience, http will usually work and https might not. Do you start surveillance center from within ADM?

Hi Kapitein Haak,

yes, I opened it within ADM, howelse should/could I open it ?
And howelse can I use a different browser, the installation runs automaticly without any choice or user intervention.
During the very short time the black window is open, I can see that it is a Mozilla Firefox window. ( Firefox is my standard browser !?)
And yes , I use it with http as https is another "feature" that I get NOT running. But one after the other ...

I guess I understand what "using another browser" means you mean log in do the NAS using not Firefox ! OK, I tried it using MS bing, and you
know what .... now its getting crazy !!! If I click on the Surveillance Center App Button within ADM, I just get "routed" to the ASUSTOR advertising
website where I can read how great an cool the Surveillance Center is. weird, crazy ? I can't believe it....

Hello Store,

Once you open the Surveillance Center from ADM, it "should" open a webpage where you are requested to install the viewer. Did you see this page and did you install the viewer?
I have used Chrome, Firefox and IE and all will open Surveillance Center and after installing the viewer, will launch the viewer. The viewer is specific to the version of surveillance center and must be installed to get it working.

As for https: from ADM, open settings and it should open in the general section, tab management. Here you can enable https and the https port number. Replace the http number (default 8000) with the https number and you should be up and running. You might get a certificate warning though.

Hello Kapitein,

firstly, Surveillance Center is running now !
The problem was that the " Widevinde Content Decryption Plugin " was blocked within Firefox.
I had installed it but Firefox has immediately blocked it. However Surveillance Center did not give a hint what the problem could be.

Now I try out Surveillance Center, after that I go further and check out how to configure the HTTPS Access. Maybe ADM V3 will be released soon,
so I will updagrade ADM before I go ahead with the further set up of my NAS.
So it seems mostlikely that I will have some more questions in future .....
