Is there a way to abort RAID1/5 creation?

Post by nero78 »

I just started a RAID5 creation with 3 disks. This takes forever and I want to do it later. Is there a way to abort the process?

As I remembered, I can copy data to NAS when RAID volume is creating / rebuilding after several minutes. I think you can simply keep it running in background. If you want to destroy the volume during creating, You may try to remove 2 disks, then put them back. The RAID-5 volume should fail and stop. You can remove the volume, then re-create one.
