Process eating 5+GB of DRAM

Yes, that is not a typo. I updated my 6208 to 16GB of DRAM and it's running just fine with that. I was investigating adding a few VMs, but then I noticed that I only had 8GB free. I notice a process named "watch_storage" is using 5.54GB. What does that process do?
