Has anyone managed to stop Crashplan for trying to update? Works great still on 4.5.2 but looks like the ui_info gets overwritten/replaced when Crashplan tries to update.

Hello everybody,
I have been already once unsuccessfully trying to get crashplan running on my Asustor AS-304T. I have upgraded my hardware now and try the same on the Asustor AS-7004T. I have been trying with and without port forwarding via ssh, but never can get any connection. I use the newest client (4.7) on Linux to try to connect.
When I check what ports are listened to (being on the NAS) with "netstat -na | grep LISTEN | grep 42" I get:

Code: Select all

tcp        0      0 :::4242                 :::*                    LISTEN
tcp        0      0 :::4243                 :::*                    LISTEN
However, when I do a port scan from another computer with "nmap -sT -O 192.168.0.5" I do not see the crashplan port:

Code: Select all

Starting Nmap 7.01 ( https://nmap.org ) at 2016-06-18 21:56 EEST
Nmap scan report for 192.168.0.5
Host is up (0.0016s latency).

Any help is appreciated!

Hi there,

I try to setup the CrashPlan plugin in my 202TE, but, I can only download the CrashPlan v4.7 only.

When I follow the instruction to setup the CrashPlan environment, it seem my CrashPlan client cannot connect to my NAS.

Can anyone advise how to do it?

P.S.: My CrashPlan client is running on MAC

Million thanks,
Louie

Louie - I found that crashplan would not connect if I had not correctly set up the NAS IP addresse as outlined in the instructions early in this post. Also, it needs to be static.
