Use multiple accounts

Hello all,

I have just factory reset my NAS and copied back all data.
Now I want to setup the Onedrive sync for me and my wife but it seems the onedrive for business app only takes 1 account.
I tried to create a seperate account for my wife and configure her onedrive there but as soon as I open the app on her asustor account it logs in my onedriveaccount ...
I do not know if it makes any difference that I'm syncing to a shared folder (photogallery).

Anyone facing this issue aswell?

Thanks

Here it is, two years later, and I am having the same problem. I have two Microsoft Onedrive accounts: personal and a business one. They are set up under separate accounts and different email accounts. Both have been working fine for a number of years with all PCs on my network (5).

I just bought and installed an AS-5304T. So far liking it fine, except for this one limitation.

I first set up my personal account. Easy. Did it in about a minute.

Then I tried to set up my business account. I couldn't even start. It gave me no option to supply a different authorization from the first one. So it looks pretty much like only one account is supported at one time.

Then I tried to delete the personal account and set up the business account because far more data is stored on that one.

Again, I couldn't even start. The original authorization credentials (for the personal Microsoft account) were still in force, and there is no mechanism to alter them.

It seems to me that two, probably small, changes should be made to the app.

First, during the authorization phase with microsoft onedrive, an opportunity to sign on should always be offered. Then, if a password is changed on the microsoft side, something which happens often, the user could re-sign on with the new credentials, preventing the sync from failing forever after. Also then, there is the possibility of a second signon (for a second account) for another onedrive sync job.

Second, of course, the ability to run two or more microsoft onedrive account syncronizations should be provided.

I'll look around the forums and the knowledgebase to see what, if any, progress has been made since 2020, and if necessary I'll submit a request to revise the app as I have outlined above.

I have the same issue on an AS3304T so apparently it is still not possible to synchronize 2 Microsoft Onedrive accounts.

Wow, this is a game changer for me. I am comparing Synology, QNAP and Asustor and need a NAS that lets me backup the data to 4 Office 365 Family accounts, each of which has 1TB OneDrive. I want to distribute the data across all 4 accounts for 4TB of data.

I had assumed this would be easy but googled just in case and am pleased I found this!

Is there any workaround known?

Thanks
Gary

You can do it. I've been syncing my family's 5 onedrive personal accounts for years.
I set them all up under the Admin account - maybe that makes a difference.
