- 1. Install Java
2. Tomcat
3. Edit tomcat to enable a user, and if upu want to chnage ports
http://support.asustor.com/index.php?/K ... e-default- administrator-user-and-password-for-tomcat
5. Enter tomcat and go to "Manager App"
6. Deploy war file from http://forum.madsonic.org/viewforum.php?f=17 (Choose xx-war-tomcat.zip)
7. Go to http://yoursubdomain.myasustor.com:8080 ... index.view
8. Edit and do your settings. It looks like SubSonic with a lot of extras
9. After you’re done with settings enter CLI, or a sftp app, and copy /var/madsonic to /volume1/Tomcat/madsonic-tomcat/madsonic
10. Because /var get reset after reboot we have to put a symbolic link that points to your settings in /volume1/Tomcat/madsonic-tomcat/madsonic every startup
11. Either create a start script with a number lover than S80, witch is before S80 Tomcat starts, in /usr/local/etc/init.d/S21YourPointer, or use an already used start-stop.sh
### Create madsonic symlink in /var
cd /var/
ln -s /volume1/Tomcat/madsonic-tomcat/madsonic /var
### End create madsonic symlink in /var
It’s seems to work like a charm and I have rebooted a few times. It streams films to my Android stuff pretty good and music works like it should. The software is free, with a paid Android app (iOs problably can use the lastest Subsonic app)) and is much more useable than it’s mother project subsonic.
If you want to transcode you have to put a 32/64bits (depending of your nas) ffmpeg in your ”/volume1/Tomcat/madsonic-tomcat/madsonic/transcode”.

There is probably a lot of better ways to do this, please inform.
P.S. Is there a good howto to build the normal asustor packets?
Good luck
