Google Drive Sync Mysteriously Stopped

Post by ASUS604TU »

Since installing the Google Drive many months ago the app has been set to one way NAS--->Google Drive sync it worked fine until 4 days ago when it mysteriously stopped.

The Google Drive was only 52% full so it wasn't a capacity issue.

The Google Drive app can obviously see the Google Drive service as it correctly shows the current MB used (and free MB).

So far I have:

1. Restarted the NAS.

2. Unlinked and relinked the app to the Google account (several times).

3. Set link up as NAS-->Google Drive, Synchronisation (2 way), neither of which are syncing.

4. Deleted the app and reinstalled.

5. Paused and resumed the Google Drive app.

6. Cleared out all files in the NAS sync directory and the Google Drive (online).

7. Tried a different directory on the NAS.

The app simply says it is idle all the time.

Anyone have any useful suggestions?

MYSTERY OVER SEE BELOW:

Google Documents List API version 3.0

Warning: The deprecation period for Version 3 of the Google Documents List API is nearly at an end. On April 20, 2015, we will discontinue service for this API. This means that service calls to the API are no longer supported, and features implemented using this API will not function after April 20, 2015. You must migrate to the Drive API as soon as possible to avoid disruptions to your application.

The Google Drive app stopped syncing at around 5am UK time on the 20th of April 2015, guessing that would be midnight in the US which is when Google will have switched off the deprecated APIs.

Really surprised that nobody else has noticed that this has stopped working.
