How to change download and temp directories

aMule stands for all-platform eMule file-sharing program. It is affiliated with the eMule project and was forked from xMule on 08/2003. It connects to the eDonkey2000 network, supports Linux, Mac, Solaris, *BSD platforms, and nearly every processor arch.

How to change download and temp directories

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me how to change the download and temp directories in aMule. I want use my external HDD for the downloading. Thanks.

To do that you have to access the NAS by SSH (PuTTY on Windows). The aMule config file is located in the directory /usr/local/AppCentral/amule/etc and is called "amule.conf". In that file the below two directives have to be adjusted:

TempDir=/volume1/Download/aMule/Temp
IncomingDir=/volume1/Download/aMule/Incoming
Storage: AS-202T | AS-604T (borrowed)
PC/Laptop: iMac 27" & rMBP 15"
Media Server/Player: Plex on ASUSTOR NAS & Samsung TV
