After updating to 2.3.3.R362, the NAS will freeze after a few hours of operation. While the LEDs still blink ambiently (I set it to night mode), nothing is accessible anymore:
- the web interface isn't accessible
- netbios won't resolve the windows name
- I can't ssh to the box
Only a power off/on cycle will reset it. Any hints?

The only way to access the NAS is after a power cycle? this is NOT RIGHT....Hi

These devices are supposed to sit idle, ready for use, as needed, not needing to be reset every time you need it. Did we get another update that wasn't tested fully before being pushed out?

I've had these kinds of problems and all were because of Xorg / graphics drivers. After I stopped using my NAS for XBMC and removed Xorg, I've had no problems. It's definitely not a solution and utterly unacceptable, but it is what it is.

@crazynas: Rebooting is not a solution, a NAS is supposed to be available 24/7.

I did not encounter this problem on my as-304t. You should send a support request to asustor to ask them checking it.ggonat wrote:@crazynas: Rebooting is not a solution, a NAS is supposed to be available 24/7.

I made a ticket today, just received a response. I would like to have everyone with this lockup issue to please post the applications you have installed in this thread:
http://forum.asustor.com/viewtopic.php?f=71&t=5535.
I have mine already listed there. I will post my response from Asustor in the same thread, so we can gather all the information in one place. The more information we can gather, the better our results will be. Thanks all!
