Re: Cannot resume downloading job after turn on asustor agai

Post by clinton.hall »

I have had confirmation that setting the .torrent save location to a new folder (not the default folder) does resolve this issue.

I'm not sure if this is a problem with saving into the "root" download directory, or a problem with needing to change and save this setting (if anyone can test that would be great) but in any case changing this does appear to work.

So here is the fix.

Create a new directory /volume1/Download/uTorrent/torrents

Set this as the location to save .torrent files.

Please make sure this directory has 0766 permissions for admin.

Yeah! Creating a new directory to save the .torrent files in solved my problem too. It seems to work fine now.

Can this fix help resuming already stopped torrents? I have tried it and I can't get my torrents to resume.

Delete .torrent and adding it again helps the torrent to resume

Any news on this error? I see the uTorrent app has been updated now, but it seems like an minor update without any bug fixes. Holding off the update myself in case every thing stops again and can't be resumed.

Hi All,

utserver (the binary produced by utorrent themselves) is not open source and therefore there are no changes I can make to change the way this binary works.
http://www.utorrent.com/intl/en/downloads/linux
As you can see this has not been updated for over a year, despite the reported bugs.

There are a few combinations of web UI that you can use to access this, but none have been reported to fix these issues.

You can try reporting this on utorrent forums to see if they have any advise or otherwise if they can update the binaries.
