Raid Scrubbing frequency

Post by Project86 »

Does anyone know how often this will take place, once I enable it from the Storage Manager? I know QNAP defaults to once per month but lets the users choose different options if needed. All I find from Asustor is the recommendation that home users do it "once per week" while business users do "once per month" but I am not finding any way to select a setting.

I was just noticing the same issue. I activated RAID scrubbing, but it isn't clear what the behavior will be after it finishes. I don't see a way to schedule RAID scrubbing.

Probably scheduled in the cron job, check "crontab -l". I'm using raid 10 internally so I don't have scrubbing option on ADM but I schedule my own raid check/sync every weekends on the external usb raid 5.
AS5304T - 16GB DDR4 - ADM-OS modded on 2GB RAM
Internal:
- 4x10TB Toshiba RAID10 Ext4-Journal=Off
External 5 Bay USB3:
- 4x2TB Seagate modded RAID0 Btrfs-Compression
- 480GB Intel SSD for modded dm-cache (initramfs auto update patch) and Apps

OK, I checked crontab and I can make sense of all of the items. But none are related to scrubbing. I guess it is handled somewhere else.
