Rsync and special characters

Hi,
I use a AS-302T as a rsync backup server for my Windows clients. However, I live in Denmark and we use special characters (non-ASCII characters) in our language and we also use the special characters in file names.
When I backup (using DeltaCopy as backup-client) my files, the cahracter names change whenever a special character is seen, i.e. "håb.txt" becomes "h_b.txt". I have found a possible solution (use the option "--iconv=ISO-8859-1,utf-8"), but the server gives me this error back:
"rsync: The server is configured to refuse --iconv"

Does anybody have any experience with special characters and Rsync on a Asustor device?
Can I enable '--iconv' by myself?

I encountered the same problem. I'm sending a support request to asustor and waiting for their responses.

I just got a response from support. They can re-produce this issue. And they will release the fixed software version soon.

I actually solved it by myself. After google the problem, I found that it is caused by cygwin1.dll that DeltayCopy built with. You can try to download the updated dll for Windows:
http://www.oki-osk.jp/esc/utf8-cygwin/c ... 18.tar.bz2
And replace this file to DeltaCopy one. I run DeltaCopy again, everything is working fine for me.
