I am please to announce the BETA of Serviio 1.6.1 (Free version but up-gradable to pro (paid) version ... ) PLEASE READ restrictions and know bugs ...

1.6.1-1.1 (new ordered version 1.6.1 for serviio 1.1 for APKG)
... add FOR NEW INSTALL ONLY the proposal of port forwarding for EZ-Router (console and media browser)
... ... this is NOT apply to update due to a problem with manual update script ...

... added dcraw (conversion tools for RAW image )

[Prerequisite]
JRE 1.8 (official APKG)
ffmpeg 2.8.3 (official APKG)
STOP using upnp-mediaserver-v2 ... this use the same UDP port 1900 (for v1 I don't know)

[Models]
ALL respecting the prerequisite here before (tested only on AS5002T)

[Restrictions and know bugs]
UDP port 1900 is used by unpn-server-v2 (same type of software) ... so stop it
... changing the port use is under study ... but not sure this can be solved
ffmpeg provide by Asustor have MISSING libraries (libRtpm, libAss and libShine) ... so restrictions can be possible
... solutions :
... Asustor update is ffmpeg delivery
... I will provide an alternative ffmpeg (but no time free to do it before weeks ... )
Serviio trans-coding is available by default THIS CONSUME lot of ressources (memory and CPU) and transcode (for ex.) video that lot of player can play as is (ex. xvid)
... so please take care ... and start without trans-coding (Serviio Web Console) and transcode only if it's absolutely necessary
Serviio is a Java program ... so the ressource use are important in entry models ... (if you use other java tools like Jdownloader ... thing to manage memory by cleaning regularly (cron) the file caching ... to avoid problems ...

[How-to]
When Serviio is started ... and if ADM icon to connect to the console don't work ... just wait[/b] ... BUT don't be afraid ... it come ... (Serviio search on network the Unpn player available ... and this spend some time ... )
FIRST URGENT THINGS TO DO in Serviio Web Console :
... add a password for the Browser Player (to be able to use it)
... if you want to use "trans-coding" (NOT a good idea on low models (Arm, Atom or Celeron))
... ... CHANGE the temporary folder (/tmp) to for ex. (after creating the folder) /usr/local/AppCentral/serviio/tmp
... ... If your processor have multi-core ... change the number (reduce) use by trans-coding)
... Good thing is to report transcodage to night for ex.

Foreign language for the console :
... seem that serviio web console language can be changed based on the locale ... so some work some others none depends of the locale provide by Asustor (without the tools to list them)
... but my own port of locale display this list :

Ex: Média will not be accessible but Media yes.

Hi,

Update of same APKG to introduce port forwarding proposal for EZ-Router

THIS works ONLY for new installation (due to a script problem in manual update) ... so if all works for you ... just forget this update and add manually port in EZ-Router
TCP 23423 for console (as in icon of ADM)
TCP 23424 for mediabrowser (ex. Android application) if you use it

Update to 1.7 need ffmpeg 3.0.2 minimum ...

So for the moment I use the ffmpeg provide by Asustor ... BUT 2.8.3 ... I can also create my own ... not so difficult ... but a little stupid for coherency ...

i see and i understand
yes why not have ffmeg by ASUSTOR and ffmeg by Father_mande. Both can be in App Central.
(same thing for other apps - you will understand )
Let me know if you are able to build it and i will see with ASUSTOR to add them in App Central (FFmeg 3.0.2 or superior + Serviio 1.7)
