Configuration for apps not opening

Post by Angus »

Hi There,

I have a problem where I am trying to configure apps, when I click on the app iin the control panel, it takes me to the configuration page, which is a port number of the main NAS.

When this web address opens, I get a 'page not found' message from my web browser.

I cant see what is causing this, the main port for configuring the nas is working fine - 8000, but others arnt.

Any help is much appreciated.

I have issues with several apps like couch potato and sickbeard.

Just opening Ajax explorer and it gives me a warning:
Php session warning:
Warning, it seems that your temporary folder used to save session data is not set. If you are encountering troubles with logging and sessions, please check session.save_path in your php.ini. Otherwise you can ignore this.

Could this be related?

Ajax explorer actually works and opens up a new window for ajax, but the address for this is /ajaxplorer rather than an actual port.

I run CouchPotato without problems.
Did you connect to CouchPotato through ADM's page at the computer on your local network? It will launch a new window (or tab window) with anchor like: http://nas_ip_address:5050/. If you got connection error, it's highly possible to be blocked by your firewall settings on your local computer. You may disable firewall and anti-virus software temporarily to have a try.
And disable CouchPotato and enable it again in AppCentral will be worth to have a try.

EDIT: ajaxexplorer should work normally. Did you change any settings manually in ajaxexplorer?

Hi Angus,

I have the same problem trying to configure Logitech Media Server. I have tried resetting nas several times, uninstalling other apps in case there was a conflict, tried different browsers, different computers, nothing makes a difference.
All ports are open and firewall is not blocking.
It was working before I installed two new hard drives.

Hi all,

there was an issue with folder permissions on AppCentral that impacted some people.

If this is the cause of your troubles, you should try updating (or installing) SABnzbd in AppCentral as the latest version includes a fix for these permission and will fix these other Apps.
You can disable the SABnzbd App after installing.
