I have a pt-ae6000e Panasonic projector which is connected to AS-5002T via HDMI
all works well apart from std_1920x1080@24.0 resolution. If I select this from Asustor portal there is no signal sent to the screen at all, screen goes blank. all other resolutions are working fine including 1920x1080@60 and 50.
the Asustor support says the PT-AE6000e Panasonic projector is not supported yet, hence not working. It doesn't sound right to me, if the source sends the 24p signal any 24p compatible screen should pick it up. Has anyone ever tried to display the std_1920x1080@24.0 can you confirm it works on your display and what TV/Projector you are using?

Well, movies are typically 1080p24
To get 24fps to show on a TV that's technically doing 60fps, a method called 2:3 pulldown is used. My projector doesn't cope too well with the 2:3 pulldown and results in skipping frames. That's why I want the 24p content to be sent directly without any pulldown. there is no problem with about any other device I have including my Laptop and PS4 displaying 24p refresh rate.
on asustor In Kodi you can select to automatically switch the refresh rate according to the source, so if the movie is 60p it leaves the screen at 60p and if it's 24p (in almost all cases it is) it automatically sets the output to the 24hz refresh rate. Only on my Asustor AS5002T it goes blank, no signal is sent to the screen when I switch to 24hz whether it is via Asustor Portal or via KODI settings.
I find it hard to believe the asustor support who says it's a compatibility issue with my specific projector. if the signal is sent to the projector it technically should receive it as it does from all my other devices. I don't have any other 24p capable screen to test and this is why I'm asking if there is someone out there being able to successfully output the above refresh rate. if other people have the same issue with a different screens then maybe asustor will take some steps to fix it.
