S.M.A.R.T. listed as bad on 1 of 2 RAID drives

Post by joecap1 »

I am looking in the admin panel. One says Good. One says Bad. What am I supposed to do with that drive? What does this really mean?

If you go into Storage Manager -> Disk -> Select the bad disk and click "S.M.A.R.T. Info". Here you should see exactly what parameter has gone bad. Feel free to post it here and the values.

Usually though, when a disk starts showing signs of failure it's the best course of action to replace it ASAP.

Cheers,
Mathias

I can't really tell you anything about that value, I recommend you Google for it and see if it's a reason for concern or not. Best of luck!
