Hi, your product looks very nice. I am comparing it to the Synology and looking to purchase tomorrow.... I would like to know however, does your product have any supported apps like the "Cloud Station" product that Synology has? I really want "Dropbox" functionality on my NAS that I host for my business.
Thanks and good luck!

Hi there,
Thank you for interesting in ASUSTOR NAS products. I am sorry but we don't have application like what you mention at this moment. I personally think its performance over Internet is not very promising and also there's file size limitation. We are working on some better alternatives and hopefully it will be available later this year.

Just to be clear. Bittorrent sync is developed by BitTorrent Labs http://labs.bittorrent.com/experiments/sync.html. I myself have created an App that allows this to be easily installed and run on the Asustor NAS range.... Just wanted to make sure the credit for the application goes to the right teamKerry wrote:Why not Bittorrent sync? It is very great sync app by Clinton!

Re: Very Interested in buying
I'll look into it but this is what I have now. Using cloud station, I can store my files locally on my MacAir, edit them offline and sync them online. I like not having to be online to get access to them if I chose. I know Dropbox does something similar, but I am talking about a terabyte's worth of files, which is too expensive for Dropbox unless I'm missing something and there's a way just to use Dropbox to sync without storing files on its server. Cloud connected on the Asustor, if I read correctly, only gets you access to your NAS files when you are online and they are only stored on the system, while Rsync connects to another NAS.

Re: Very Interested in buying
alas, I've been at it a few hours, trying to get bttorrent sync to see my mac air from my imac (and vice versa). it happened once briefly but not since. Asustor suggested that owncloud might work but I can't test it on the synology nas because of compatibility issues.
I really love the features that the asustor has to offer but not to have a simple straightforward syncing program built in that just works without an excess of tinkering I think kills it for me. too bad.
