Hi
I know this has been asked before and I know it is a requested feature in "Feature request" forum (because I am one of those who requests this feature), but this is such an important and vital request that I can not let my voice rest.
As long as only admin and root user is allowed to login via ssh using asustore as git repository is at best an amputated feature. One should have the option to create ssh users which have limited access to specific folders like for example where one stores the repository.
I therefor ask here in if this is something the asustore developers have considered to implement. Its highly recommended to do so as git relies on ssh for secure handling of projects.
Besides that, I find Asustore to be an genius invention.. Thanks
Login via ssh - none admin or root user

+1000
This is really a required feature for security - allowing root login is a no-no.

Yup... But I have never seen any feedback on this topic from asustor. This is really a required feature for security - allowing root login is a no-no.
It's really really really something that should have been fixed before even first release. I can not imagine in any way why there is no such feature for creating ssh users with restricted access.

+1 I really hope they implement this feature soon. No reason why any user shouldn't be able to login via ssh.

Re: Login via ssh - none admin or root user
Excuse moa ? The very point is to rise security to a higher level. Beeing able to create restricted users is a very important step towards higher security. Only allowing admin and root means that remote users will have full access i stead of restricted access, therefor we restrict them I intend to enable git users to access my repo but aslong as only root/admin users are possible to be used remotly this is a nogo.crazynas wrote:I don't think so open none admin or root user is good idea.

Re: Login via ssh - none admin or root user
has anyone been able to figure out how to enable user login? I've tried playing with the pam.d/sshd file to no avail to enable user logins.
