Hi,
husosultan wrote: Yes you are right Philippe my architecture is 32 bit:

Linux AS-302T-Huso 3.4.26 #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Sep 3 03:34:15 CST 2019 i686 GNU/Linux

To be honest, the tutorial in the first page and all links are provided, little bit confusing me. Which app may I download now for my type of NAS server? The best question is it exist?
Afterwards can i achive to install Kodi, plex, netflix and youtube?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Sorry for the lack of information (I just add the models supported in myHD 1.0.0 announcement post)

Multiple reasons exist for my decision to port myHD only on x86_64 models :
... time ... I am a user like you ... and do this on my free time ... I am not Asustor.
... kernel in 32 bits don't have isolated namespace module (when I check last year)
... MOST important, the x86 32 bits series use Intel ATOM with an integrated graphic processor (with Intel name) BUT in fact from PowerVR (SGX525 if I remember) this I.G.P. have no open source driver and use a old specific version of video acceleration ... all closed by Intel. So even theoretically it's possible to do some test NO solution (as I know) exist to get video acceleration require for a normal usage of Kodi, PMP, etc.
AND now this libraries are not compatible with last Kodi, PMP or Chrome (netflix, youtube) ... so we are in a deadlock ...

Philippe.

Thank you for your answer Philippe.
I think there is no chance that I can achive to install the mentioned apk's "Netflix plex kodi" in my current NAS server. Now the question is:
How it was possible that Asus was putting those applications per default? there might be a way. I believe in it. Do you have an idea how?

I am not an Asustor expert (like Asustor dev. team) so I can only suppose ...
... this need to update the video acceleration libraries and to add missing one for x32 Linux, because at this time the new Kodi or pmp and new version of Chrome (netflix, primevideo, etc.) require a minimum level for libraries to compile or generate then to run. (it's why old kodi (12 to 14 ??) have run on, in the past)
AND certainly to update (even only to don't generate error at run time) the driver and perhaps the Xorg ... so this require to Asustor to have the hand on SGX source code ... not know to be available.

Perhaps it's possible to do somethings but it's a long long works ... in time, in test and integration (if all prerequisite are satisfied) ... so ask to Asustor, BUT you must know ... that it's same on other brand for series using same ATOM family ... for ex. QNAP (even QNAP use a 64 bits O.S.) ... I own a TS-x69 and nothing is possible on it. Kodi is also stopped (by QNAP) for same reason than Asustor and the only Media Player (with minimum Video Acceleration) is based on Kodi 12.1

But I repeat, I am a user like you, so without access to the source the "Engine" (ADM, Xorg, Asportal)

An alternative can be to test a standard distribution (if they support the hardware) and see what is possible ... I am going in travel, but next month (Iwill work up to October through VPN remote access) I will can try to install Ubuntu and see what happen .
Philippe.

Thank you for your explanation. I think rather think about different solutions like, buy a android box and get connect to my NAS server. that will be safest solution.

Using which program do you remotely administer kodi from nas on your desktop? Such a green icon on YouTube video?

Hi,

Sorry for the delay ... I was in travel, I just be back. (existing topic on this subject (but perhaps outdated) : viewtopic.php?f=227&t=10374
To upgrade kodi to 19 ... you must just change the Kodi repository and follow procedure provide in Kodi wiki : https://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Install_Kodi_for_Linux

after install of mhYD ... the kodi version used is in UNSTABLE kodi repository ( look at /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ )
... so to get Kodi19 ... you must move to NIGHTLY build

To follow kodi procedure just do :
in a ssh terminal using root / your_admin_password ... enter myHD_root (so enter in the chroot) ... STOP USING KODI ... follow the procedure

Philippe.
NB icon is not changed (even kodi is 19) ... but a fake MH_Kodi19 apkg exist to change the icons ... I will try to ameliorate this later ... (MH_kdodiXX are only icon + launcher so no change in the internal version used ... )
