EZ sync is useless, it simply doesn't work, is there any alternative ?

I'm so frustrated with this software, for me it's a primary feature I need from the NAS, to sync a FOLDER between 4 computers that are all on the local network. Sounds simple, right ?

It looks like this... the first time i set up the File syncing it runs the scanning and all is uploaded to NAS, it displays 'complete' and all is good. Then I set up another computer, it downloads everything from nas and displays "Complete', so far so good. But then i turn it off and after it's turned on again , it starts to upload the files that are already on the NAS ! I have no idea why but it's syncing indefinately and it's the same with other computers. It just syncs the same files until the drive is full.

Has anyone beed able to use this software without issues ? Maybe there is some other software I could try ?
Maybe it only works with ONE computer ? Because the first computer that gets synced seems ok.

mm... I use only one PC to sync data. I would recommend you to report this issue to asustor directly. https://support.asustor.com/

On the other hand, you can try the other ways:
  • Rsync server in NAS. And install DeltaCopy application under Windows.
  • Syncthing in NAS and PC.

Take a look at Syncthing. Very configurable, you can limit is only to the internal network - by default it can go beyond NAT.

Very thankful for Your responses, I wrote the support ticket but i'm doubtfull they will resolve this, something is wrong with this software, there are more issues I noticed that I did not mention. I had WD my cloud desktop before and it's WDSYNC software worked, it had some minor issues but the main purpose was fullfilled. I thought buying asustor would be an upgrade not a downgrade.

Im looking into this deltacopy and syncthing. Unfortunately i'm not that proficient in computers :? , that's why a built in solution would be the best for me. I think I will try syncthing first because I can see it in the app central so maybe I will manage to set it up on my own :)
