Duplicati/Mono authorisation for HubiC

I am trying to use Duplicati to back-up to HubiC, primarily because Datasync for HubiC does not use encryption while Duplicati does.
Duplicati uses Mono and requires an AuthID. I can generate the code OK but its acceptance fails. I have been told that that this failure is caused by the Mono installation on my 606T not accepting the SSL certificate used by the OAuth service. Apparently I might resolve the difficulty by using a 'cert-sync' tool at the commandline. This is way beyond my pay-grade and I would appreciate guidance on how to do this.
