App Center fails to install Nextcloud 16.0.3.r1

I just tried to install Nextcloud. App Center tells me that docker-ce is needed and proceeds to install it. However, App Center then hangs at the very beginning when trying to install Nextcloud itself. No error dialog, but the log says afterwards: Install App failed. (Ref. -154)

I have used App Center to install many apps, and this is the first time it failed to do the job. Any idea what the problem might be?

I have now tested the obsolete Nextcloud 12 (which does not use docker-ce) and it installs without problems. It is only installation of Nextcloud 16 which fails with error code -154.

Some further tests with obsolete versions of Nextcloud from the ASUSTOR download center:

Nextcloud 15.0.5.r1 - Install fails with error code -154
nextcloud-docker 15.0.5.r1 - Install fails with error code -154

I don't know what the difference between these two packages is and why only one of them has "docker" in its name. Both of them require docker-ce (which I already installed successfully) according to their install dialogs.

Nextcloud 13.0.5 (docker-less) - Success!

In conclusion, it is only the "dockerized" versions of Nextcloud that fail to install with error code -154.

I have now found that the non-dockerized version of Nextcloud 16.0.1 provided by user CryZ in the below thread also installs on my AS6404T without problems:

I will therefore proceed to use it instead of the dockerized Nextcloud 16 from App Central which fails to install. Hopefully, it will also be easier to set up Nextcloud without the Docker layer.
