[APKG OpenPlexHomeTheater] beta for ASPORTAL

HI,

I am please for brave IT'S A BETA ... to announce the first version of port of OpenPHT (Open PlexHomeTheater) on Asustor (For Asportal)
THIS VERSION IS NATIVE FOR ASPORTAL ... so no more need to use HD_Engine version ... even HD_Engine is more updatable ...
Port to HX_Engine (Desktop_Engine) will be done shortly ...

As you know plexhometheater have been abandoned by Plex ... to move to a future PlexPlayer (but paying ... )
plexhometheater as a revival version (with update, bug corrections, etc.) named OpenPHT

The version available here for tests (even YOU DON'T BREAK the official Asustor version NOR HD_Engine one) is OpenPHT 1.5.2

AS usual ... through APKG App. Central (manual install)

BY DEFAULT ... OpenPHT use is own plexht user area ... under created /home/root/.plexht
OpenPHT force Vsync to disable to avoid flickering on menu ...
BUT you can IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR ACTUAL CONFIGURATION ... BEFORE starting it ... copy your own user area from other version
search for .plexht folder and copy it to /home/root under root ssh session ...

[Support]
Please use Plex forum ... for the moment (shortly I suppose) ... NO version exist for standard distribution like Ubuntu ... only "private" build (like I have done) are available ...
But please post here any return of experience ...
And understand that's it's an early version for Linux (build first for Rasbian Linux) ... so also early for NAS

Will this run on a 32-bit NAS? Like the 202TE and the 30x series that are all 32-bit?

It could easily replace the now defunct XBMC for people, if so.

Can you explain here the different step to reproduce the problem
... or a link to any movies with it

I can't reproduce it on my AS5002T ... so difficult to understand ...

Another possibility is to put your error in OpenPHT official forum ...because the code use here is unchanged (OpenPHT is just PHT (abandoned by Plex) with some bugs corrections ... at this time)

For the moment only "user build" exist ... no official PPA (if I don't fall in error) ...Is your problem can be similar to this one : https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comme ... nt_1168220

in this case the problem come with VA-API provide by Xorg APKG ...

So the response seem to be linked to Xorg va-api libraries ... perhaps and update can solve it or if it's a bug in OpenPHT and 1.6 will be perhaps some kind of solution ...

can you join the log corresponding ... this can help to understand if it's the "call" to va-api or if all is correct ... after it's log for X server to analyse
... also don't forget to get vsync disable (or test with enable only on playback) and uncheck VDPAU that can interfere with VAAPI

Also try playing with parameters ... I know it's "empiric" ... but some scaling parameters can impact for ex. the things ...
